Gems of Nazrul has crafted its 31st artistic music video "Joy Hok”, in commemoration of the 125th birth anniversary of our National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam this year. This video is centred on several iconic Nazrul songs that ignited the spirits of the youth during the anti-colonial era and the 1971 War of Independence.
“Swadesh Amar Janina Tomar” was first released in the music compilation "Gul Bagicha" on June 27, 1933, during the month of July of the same year. This patriotic Nazrul sangeet of self-awareness was later recorded by the giant music company HMV (His Master's Voice) in the same year, with the vocals of artiste Kashem Mallick.
Gems of Nazrul’s primary objective is to raise more awareness among the younger generation about Nazrul's ideology, philosophy, and artistic masterpieces.
Gems of Nazrul will pay homage to the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam marking his 124th birth anniversary tomorrow. Their 27th production titled “Ke Duronto Bajao” will air on Channel i on May 25 at 12:01 am, and will also be available on their YouTube Channel.
The event featured Sumon Chowdhury and Professor Dr Asit Roy, who presented performances and held discussions on related events.
