Ali Hossain Fakir, former commanding officer of Armed Police Battalion-3, was sent into forced retirement this afternoon citing public interest.

The government yesterday sent three superintendents of police into retirement, citing public interests, two days after it showed the information secretary the door on the same grounds.

The government has sent two additional deputy inspectors generals (DIG) of police on forced retirement.
