The BNP announced the routes for tomorrow's mass procession to press home their demand for resignation of the Awami League government and holding the upcoming elections under a non-party caretaker government

Police have so far filed 11 cases against BNP leaders and activists with different police stations over yesterday’s violence and clashes between law enforcers and party leaders and activists.

After much drama and uncertainty, police yesterday denied the BNP permission for holding a rally today, and the opposition party responded by rescheduling its gathering for tomorrow at Nayapaltan or Suhrawardy Udyan.

While the government insists the BNP would be given permission to hold its December 10 rally at no other place but the capital’s Suhrawardy Udyan, BNP leaders think it’s a ploy to prevent their activists from joining the rally.
