Over the Top (OTT) platforms are one of the major digital mediums of entertainment. The country has been suffering from a complete internet outage, resulting in huge financial losses for industry leaders.
Vicky Zahed is renowned for creating narratives that explore the complex psychology and darker tendencies of human beings.
Yesterday, the OTT platform released the official first look of the Binge original short film “Ekti Khola Janala”.
The web-series “Tikit”, helmed by Vicky Zahed, has recently premiered. Meanwhile, he has disclosed release plans for a new series. Drawing inspiration from author Mohammad Nazim Uddin's work, the director has thus unveiled his next distinctive storyline to captivate the audience. Ever since “Tikit’s” launch, conversations surrounding it have persisted to thrive.
Anjan Dutt's upcoming web-series “Dui Bondhu” will feature a variety of his songs, including Anjan six new tracks, focused on the theme of friendship. The veteran artiste will also act in it alongside directing it.
Now the actor will play the role of the father (Shihab Shaheen) in the film and Tasnia Farin will take on the character of his daughter. The film also stars Irfan Sajjad, and Shohel Mondol, amongst others.
Directed by Mehedi Hasib, the web-series also stars Shajal Noor, Mumtaheena Chowdhury Toya, Sumon Anowar and more. The series will be released on the upcoming Eid on the OTT platform, Binge.
In the teaser, a family of five members was seen together, but they are brutally beaten and injured. In the center of the frame, Tama Mirza is sitting with a photo frame of Nasir Uddin Khan. At the end of the teaser, the teaser indicates that all four members of the family will be dead.
With global names like Netflix, HBO, Disney, and Amazon investing heavily in the concept, it is inevitable that local names like Chorki, Hoichoi, Binge, Bongo etc., will continue to flourish equally. As the ecosystem continues to grow, we have numerous questions that come into our minds, such as how much OTT has actually affected the overall entertainment industry, what its future outlook may be, and whether there will be any negative impact, as is usual with any swiftly expanding user platform.
