Kazi Salahuddin’s reign as the longest-serving president of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will officially come to an end on October 26, the four-time BFF president announced in an impromptu press briefing yesterday.
Kazi Salahuddin will not seek a fifth term as president of Bangladesh Football Federation, the incumbent president told reporters at a press conference at the BFF House on Saturday.
The country’s 2024-25 football season was originally scheduled to get underway today with the lone match of the newly introduced Challenge Cup, but the recent changes in the country’s political scene deferred the season’s opening by three weeks, with a tentative start date of October 4.
"As an alternative, stakeholders have proposed a 19.1-acre plot in Dholirchara mouza, under Rashidnagar union of the same upazila, for the development of the Centre," stated the NSC release.
Bangladeshi-born English footballer Hamza Choudhury has finally received a Bangladesh passport, confirmed Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) general secretary Emran Hossain after speaking to Hamza’s mother Rafia Choudhury today.
The participating clubs will also have the opportunity to compete in three competitions instead of the five originally listed in the yearly calendar.
