India’s Supreme Court today (July 8, 2022) granted five-day interim bail to fact-checking portal Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair in connection with an FIR registered in Uttar Pradesh state for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

Alt News Co-founder Mohammed Zubair was produced in a court in Sitapur of India’s Uttar Pradesh state today (July 4, 2022) in connection with a new FIR lodged against him for allegedly calling Hindu seers "hate mongers".
