Amongst them, the Shakib Khan starrer “Rajkumar” is predictably leading in earnings in its first week. Directed by Himel Ashraf, the film premiered in a record-breaking 127 cinemas and has been selling out in all multiplexes since its opening day. It is also performing strongly in single-screen theatres.
Three films fell off from the Eid race in the country’s premier multiplex, Star Cineplex. On the third and fifth day of Eid-ul-Fitr respectively, Kazi Hayat directorial film “Green Card” and Chotku Ahmed’s government-granted film “Ahare Jibon” were taken down. However, both movies are still running shows at Lion Cinemas.
Star Cineplex plans to showcase a curated selection of eight movies from the lineup.
