Why should Bangladesh pay for Myanmar's internal conflict?
The way in which the Myanmar Army has recently violated international laws while carrying out its operations against the Arakan Army is completely unacceptable for Bangladesh. One Rohingya youth has been killed and some others have been injured when the Tatmadaw's mortar shells landed on Bangladeshi land. Their military aircrafts have flown over Bangladesh as well. All of this is against international law and order. What can the Bangladesh government do in such a situation? Maj Gen ANM Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (retd), president of Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS), spoke to us regarding this.
