In conversation with Historian Perween Hasan

Professor Perween Hasan is a distinctive historian specialising in the history of medieval Bengal. Although history was not her initial pursuit during her youth, she later wholeheartedly immersed herself in the field. Her groundbreaking research on the architectural aspects of mosques in Bangladesh during the Sultanate period has earned global acclaim.

Presently, she holds the position of Vice-Chancellor at Central Women's University. This renowned former professor from the Department of Islamic History and Culture at Dhaka University also closely observed the events of the Liberation War.
