Farmers incur loss over restriction on cattle selling in Dahagram
Cattle farmers in Dahagram in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat are incurring a huge loss for years now as they do not have permission to sell their animals on their own will.
In order to stop border smuggling local government have enforced a selling quota of a 60 cows per week and which will be authorised by the local authority. But the receipts with signature have become very hard to come by.
Agriculture and cattle farming are the main source of income for around 17,000 people in Dahagram, Bangladeshi territorial village inside India.
