Horse race in Manikganj

A horse racing competition was arranged in Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj on March 26 on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

The competition was arranged by the organising committee of Adarsha High School in Binodpur village under the upazila, reports our Manikganj correspondent.

The horse of one Sohrab Hossain of Gheuri upazila in the district won the race, while the horses of Matiar Rahman and Sirajul Islam came second and third respectively.

The competition, being arranged for the last 15 years on the occasion of the Independence Day, attracted a huge number of people from the nearby areas.
