The 13th edition of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup has delivered plenty of on-field thrills, and the excitement has translated into record-breaking viewership numbers, as revealed by data jointly released by the ICC and JioHotstar.

The first 13 matches of the tournament reached over 60 million viewers -- five times more than the 2022 edition -- while total watch time soared to 7 billion minutes, marking a 12-fold increase from the previous tournament.

The clash between India and Pakistan on October 5 in Colombo set a new benchmark, becoming the most-watched women's international cricket match ever, attracting a staggering 28.4 million viewers and generating 1.87 billion minutes of watch time.

The storied India-Australia rivalry also hit new heights on 12 October in Visakhapatnam, drawing 4.8 million peak concurrent viewers on JioHotstar, which was another all-time high for women's cricket.

Television numbers further highlighted the growing fan engagement with women's cricket, with the India vs Pakistan clash emerging as the highest-rated league-stage match in ICC Women's ODI World Cup history.

The first 11 matches -- including India's encounters against Sri Lanka, Pakistan and South Africa -- reached a combined audience of 72 million, a 166% jump from the previous edition, while total viewing minutes soared 327% to 6.3 billion.

Powered by an all-round display from Deepti Sharma and handy contributions from Sneh Rana and Amanjot Kaur, India beat Sri Lanka in their ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 opener.

As the tournament reaches its business end and each India fixture becomes a virtual must-win, the World Cup continues to set new benchmarks for the presentation and promotion of women's cricket in India.
