Tigresses head coach Sarwar Imran suffers stroke in Colombo

Bangladesh women's team head coach Sarwar Imran suffered a minor brain stroke in Colombo on Monday, team manager SM Golam Faiyaz confirmed to The Daily Star today.
Faiyaz said Imran was admitted to hospital, where he underwent a series of tests that confirmed the stroke. The 64-year-old coach has since been stabilised, discharged, and is now under observation at the team hotel.
Despite the health scare, the Tigresses' preparations for the ICC Women's World Cup remain on course. Bangladesh will kick off their campaign on Thursday against Pakistan in Colombo.
The squad continues to be supported by fast-bowling coach Alomgir Kobir and batting coach Nasiruddin Faruque, who are both with the team in Sri Lanka.
