Bangladesh's women's team have seen several notable movements in the latest ICC Women's ODI rankings released on Tuesday, with strong World Cup performances translating into individual progress across categories. The Tigresses remain seventh in the team standings -- above West Indies and Pakistan and close behind Sri Lanka.

In the bowling charts, Fahima Khatun climbed an impressive 18 places to 27th following her consistent spells through the middle overs, while Rabeya Khan rose three places to 18th and Nahida Akter stayed among the elite despite slipping two spots to 11th. Marufa Akter, who provided early breakthroughs in Bangladesh's campaign so far, dropped four places to 46th.

Among the all-rounders, Rabeya's rise continued as she leapt 23 places to 26th, one ahead of Fahima, who improved by 15 spots. Ritu Moni also made gains, moving nine places up to 62nd.

In the batting rankings, Sharmin Supta remained steady at 31st, while captain Nigar Sultana Joty and Farzana Haque Pinky slipped to 36th and 39th respectively after quiet outings. However, Sobhana Mostary's consistency earned her a 15-place rise to 70th.

Globally, the update also mirrored the value of performing in the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup. India opener Smriti Mandhana held firm at No. 1, while Australia's Alyssa Healy soared nine places to joint-fourth after her century against India. South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt climbed three places to join her, while lower order batter Nadine de Klerk of New Zealand made significant gains -- rising 26 spots to 32nd   -- following match-winning knocks.

For Bangladesh, the numbers reaffirm a sense of gradual progress. Their spirited displays in close defeats to England and South Africa, and a commanding opening win against Pakistan, have not gone unnoticed. With three matches left in the group stage, the Tigresses' focus will be on translating individual progress into collective victories.
