All the records that fell in Australia’s epic win over India

A flood of records tumbled as Australia pulled off a thrilling three-wicket victory over India in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, completing the highest successful run chase in Women's ODI history.
The contest not only showcased top-class batting from both sides but also rewrote several record books in women's cricket.
HIGHEST RUN CHASE IN WOMEN'S ODIs
Australia's remarkable chase was the highest ever in Women's ODIs, surpassing Sri Lanka's pursuit of 302 against South Africa in Potchefstroom last year.
It also comfortably eclipsed the previous Women's World Cup record of 278 — achieved by Australia themselves against India in the 2022 edition in Auckland.
Captain Alyssa Healy hailed her side's effort, saying she was "thrilled with the way the team held their nerve" in a match that will long be remembered.
HIGHEST ODI TOTAL BY INDIA AT A WOMEN'S WORLD CUP
India may have fallen short of victory, but their batting display was record-breaking in itself.
Their total of 330 was their highest ever at a Women's World Cup, surpassing the 317/8 posted against West Indies in 2022.
THIRD MOST COMBINED RUNS IN WOMEN'S ODI HISTORY
The aggregate of 661 runs made it the third-highest combined total in Women's ODI history — behind the 781 scored by the same teams in Delhi last month and the 679 from Australia and South Africa in Bristol during the 2017 World Cup.
MOST SIXES IN A WOMEN'S WORLD CUP MATCH
The record for most sixes in a Women's World Cup match also fell.
India struck seven, including three from Smriti Mandhana, while Australia cleared the ropes six times, bringing the match total to 13 sixes.
THIRD HIGHEST SCORE BY A CAPTAIN AT A WORLD CUP
Alyssa Healy's majestic 142 was the third-highest score by any captain at a Women's World Cup.
Only fellow Australians Belinda Clark (229* vs Denmark, 1997) and Meg Lanning (152* vs Sri Lanka, 2017) have scored more.
A 37-YEAR DROUGHT BROKEN BY ANNABEL SUTHERLAND
Annabel Sutherland's brilliant spell of 5/40 turned the match on its head, making her the first bowler at this tournament to claim a five-wicket haul.
She became only the fourth Australian to achieve the feat at a World Cup — and the first since Lyn Fullston did so against the Netherlands in 1988.
NEW MARKS FOR MAGICAL MANDHANA
Smriti Mandhana crossed another milestone, becoming only the second Indian woman after Mithali Raj to score 5000 ODI runs.
She achieved the landmark in her 112th match at age 29 — the quickest and youngest to do so.
Mandhana also became the first player ever to score 1000 Women's ODI runs in a calendar year, amassing 1062 runs from 18 matches so far in 2025, including four centuries and four fifties.
