Naim, Rossington smash unbeaten fifties as Chattogram hand Dhaka 10-wicket thrashing

Chattogram Royals thrashed Dhaka Capitals by 10 wickets in the Bangladesh Premier League on Friday as openers Mohammad Naim Sheikh and Adam Rossington struck unbeaten fifties to help the BCB-managed side register their second win.

Sent in to bat at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Dhaka struggled from the outset as Shoriful Islam removed openers Saif Hassan and Zubaid Akbari cheaply.

Spinners Tanvir Islam and captain Mahedi Hasan then took control of the innings, reducing Dhaka to 66 for seven.

Nasir Hossain's 17 and Mohammad Saifuddin's 25-ball 33 provided some late resistance but Dhaka were eventually bundled out for 122 in 19.4 overs.

Shoriful and Tanvir picked up three wickets each, while Mahedi claimed two.

In reply, Naim and Rossington went on the offensive against the Dhaka bowling to wrap up the chase in just 12.4 overs, reaching 123 without loss. Naim struck seven fours and a six in his 40-ball 54, while Rossington's 36-ball 60 was studded with nine fours and two sixes.
