It came as a pleasant surprise for the viewers watching the Bangladesh Premier League's (BPL) Eliminator game between Chattogram Challengers and Khulna Tigers as Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal made a guest appearance in the commentary box today.

The dashing cricketer, who is still the highest run-getter in the ongoing BPL, could not make it to the playoff with team Minister Group Dhaka but surprised everyone with his commentary debut.

The 32-year-old already has the reputation of being an eloquent speaker, whether it is during the post-match presentation ceremony or the press conferences, but according to Tamim, he was a bit nervous in the commentary box, similar to the feeling before playing the first ball of an innings.

"Well, it's my debut as a commentator. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous, pretty much like facing the first ball of the innings," said Tamim.

However, Tamim remained fluent during his entire commentary stint, in which he shared his experience to his fellow commentators.

With a huge potential of becoming an international commentator from Bangladesh after Athar Ali Khan and Shahriar Nafees, Tamim can surely consider building his career as a commentator after he retires on the field.
