Rishad sixth Bangladeshi to take 50 T20I wickets

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain became the sixth Bangladeshi bowler to get 50 wickets in T20Is during the Tigers' first match in the Asia Cup, against Hong Kong, at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.   

The five other Bangladesh bowlers in this list, alongside Rishad, are: Shakib Al Hasan (149 wkts), Mustafizur Rahman (142), Taskin Ahmed (96), Shoriful Islam (58), and Mahedi Hasan (57).   

Rishad, playing in his 43rd T20I, needed two more wickets to hit a half-century of wickets in the format before the game, and ended with figures of two for 31 in his four overs, as Bangladesh restricted Hong Kong to 143 for seven in 20 overs. 

Rishad got both his scalps in the final two deliveries of his spell, removing Hong Kong's top-scorer of the game, Nizakat Khan (42 off 40) and Kinchit Shah (0 off 1). This also meant Rishad would complete his first hat-trick if he could get a wicket in the first delivery of his next game for Bangladesh.
