Ace left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman surpassed Shakib Al Hasan to become Bangladesh's highest wicket-taker in T20Is, also becoming only the fourth bowler in the world to register 150 T20I wickets.

Playing his 118th T20I, Mustafizur achieved the feat when he made India skipper Suryakumar Yadav his 150th scalp in the format during the Tigers' Super Four game in the ongoing Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium today.

Suryakumar, however, was deemed not out by the on-field umpire despite a clear deflection off his gloves down the leg side that carried to the wicketkeeper Jaker Ali in the 12th over. However, following a review, the decision was reverted.

With 149 wickets in 129 games, Shakib remains next to Mustafizur in the list for most T20I wickets for Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, only Rashid Khan (173 wickets in 103 games) and Tim Southee (164 wickets in 126 games) remain ahead of Mustafizur in the all-time wicket-takers' list in the format. Ish Sodhi also has 150 T20I wickets, playing eight more games than Mustafizur.
