India batters Virat Kohli and KL Rahul hit centuries at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Monday to propel India's total to 356 for two against archrivals Pakistan in their Asia Cup Super Four encounter.

Kohli's 47th ODI ton saw him become the quickest batter to reach 13,000 runs in the 50-over format. He reached the milestone in his 267th innings overtaking Sachin Tendulkar's record of accumulating 13,000 ODI runs in 321 innings. The 34-year-old once again proved his affinity to this ground as he notched up his fourth successive century in as many matches at this venue in Colombo.

India resumed play on Monday on 147 for two after rain disallowed play on Sunday, exercising the allocated reserve day.

Kohli, who remained unbeaten on eight on the previous day, went on to smash nine fours and three sixes as he scored 122 of 94 balls, while Rahul added 94 runs to his 17 not out as he brought up his sixth ODI ton, remaining unbeaten on 111 off 106 deliveries, an innings that was laced with 12 fours and two sixes.

The duo put on a 233-run stand which became the highest partnership for any wicket in Asia Cup history and also top the list for highest partnerships in India-Pakistan contests.
