Bangladesh, Nepal play out stalemate in Kathmandu

Bangladesh and Nepal played out a goalless draw in the first of two friendlies in Kathmandu today.

Javier Cabrera's charges looked the sharper side in the first half at the Dasharath Rangasala Stadium, creating a few chances but failing to find the breakthrough. After the restart, they held firm at the back, impressing defensively to keep Nepal at bay.

The result sets up another meeting between the two teams on September 9 at the same venue, as Bangladesh continue to fine-tune their preparations for October's Asian Cup Qualifiers against Hong Kong.
