Bangladesh's Gaurab Singha and Abdul Zahir Tanvir clinched the men's doubles title at the Yonex-Sunrise Bangladesh International Series, winning an all-Bangladesh final at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium on Friday.

In a tightly contested final, the Gaurab–Tanvir pair edged past Mizanur Rahman and Rahatun Naim 21-19, 17-21 and 22-20 to lift the trophy.

The opening set was fiercely competitive, with Gaurab and Tanvir narrowly taking it 21-19. Momentum shifted in the second set after the change of courts, as Mizanur and Naim began to string together points. Despite falling behind 7-1 at one stage, Gaurab and Tanvir fought back to take a 15-13 lead. However, Mizanur and Naim regained control to win the set 21-17, levelling the match at one set apiece.

The decider proved equally gripping. With both pairs locked at 20-20, Gaurab and Tanvir held their nerve, winning two consecutive points to seal the set 22-20 and secure the championship with a 2-1 victory.

In a post-match announcement, Bangladesh Badminton Federation president Habib Ullah Dawn said that the federation would provide additional financial incentives for the finalists.

"We had earlier announced a prize of USD 1,000 for Al Amin Juma and Urmi Akter for reaching the mixed doubles final of the International Badminton Challenge. This time, as two of our pairs contested the men's doubles final of the International Series, we will discuss within the federation and announce separate financial rewards to encourage them," he said.
