U-21 hockey side thrash Switzerland in last pre-World Cup practice game

Bangladesh men's Under-21 hockey team wrapped up their preparation for FIH Hockey Junior World Cup with a comprehensive 5-2 win over Switzerland in their second and the last practice match at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.

This was Bangladesh's second successive win, after they had beaten Chile 3-0 in their first practice match.

On Wednesday, in-form drag and flick specialist Amirul Islam scored a brace while Huzaifa Hossain, Rakibul Hasan Rocky and Obaidul Islam Joy netted one goal apiece.

Bangladesh have been pitted in Group F along with Australia, France and South Korea in the twenty-four-team global tournament.

The men in red and green under the guidence of Dutch coach Siegfried Aikman will start their campaign by taking on Australia on Saturday. They will next square off against South Korea on November 30 and France on December 2.
