Football legend Ronaldinho is confident that Neymar's story with Brazil is far from over, backing the Santos forward to make a comeback and lead the Selecao to another World Cup triumph.

Neymar was left out of Carlo Ancelotti's latest squad for qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia, a decision the coach said was made to test new options with Brazil already assured of a place at the 2026 finals.

The omission sparked debate, but Ronaldinho dismissed concerns over the 32-year-old's international future.

"I believe it's only a matter of time. It's Ney – there's no turning back," said the 2002 world champion. "He'll soon be back with us, helping Brazil win the World Cup again."

Ronaldinho also voiced his support for Ancelotti, recalling their shared time at AC Milan.

"He only just arrived. I worked with him in Milan - he's a successful coach, full of experience. I wish him the best, and I hope he can guide Brazil back to the very top," he said.

The forward has not featured for Brazil since October 2023, when a serious knee injury sidelined him for more than a year. Although called up in 2025 under previous coach Dorival Júnior, fitness issues prevented his return.

Brazil face Chile on Thursday before finishing their qualifying campaign in Bolivia.
