Mohammedan mourns death of devoted fan Ataur Rahman

Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited expressed deep sorrow at the passing of the club's devoted supporter Ataur Rahman Ata.

He breathed his last at a city hospital last night at approximately 11:00pm due to old age-related complications.

"The Board of Directors of the Mohammedan family, donors, permanent members, former and current players, and employees are all deeply saddened by his demise," the statement read.

"We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved members of the deceased's family and pray for the forgiveness of his departed soul," it further read.

The deceased was known in the domestic football fraternity as a Mohammedan super fan.

His namaz-e-janaza was held today after the Zuhr prayers at Tikatuli Jame Mosque.
