Disappointed Haaland didn’t score four or five: Guardiola

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was in a playful mood after Erling Haaland's brace fired his team to a 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday -- joking that he was "disappointed" his star striker didn't score more goals.
Haaland struck twice in five minutes midway through the second half to seal the win at the Etihad, continuing his red-hot start to the season.
The Norwegian now has 14 goals in all competitions and 11 in just eight Premier League appearances, putting him comfortably ahead in the Golden Boot race.
But despite Haaland's brilliance, Guardiola used the post-match interview to remind his squad not to become overly reliant on the No. 9.
"Disappointed he did not score four or five," the City boss joked to BBC Sport. "All jokes aside, we can't depend only on him. Wingers, attacking midfielders -- they have to step up and score goals too."
Guardiola mentioned missed chances from Jeremy Doku, Savinho and Tijjani Reijnders, insisting they "must demand more from themselves" in front of goal.
Reflecting on the game, the Spaniard admitted it took time for City to settle after the international break.
"Typical first half after internationals. Everton made it tough -- long balls, strong defenders. When we broke their rhythm, we played better," he said.
