Australian fitness expert Dr. Cameron Lord has been appointed as Head of Strength and Conditioning for the national women's team, confirmed Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Wednesday.

Lord becomes the second foreign member of Peter Butler's backroom staff, joining the English head coach who had repeatedly emphasised the need to raise the team's physical standards following their success in the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers.

The Australian oversaw his first training session on Wednesday at the Police Tero FC training ground in Sukhothai, Bangkok, as the women in red and green continued preparations for their upcoming international friendlies against the hosts -- ranked 51 places above them -- on October 24 and 27.

According to a BFF statement, Lord's appointment is part of a broader effort to strengthen the team's performance and fitness structure. "His primary responsibilities include developing a comprehensive athletic program to enhance both individual and collective player strength and fitness levels."

Lord brings a wealth of experience from his previous stints with A-League club Perth Glory, where he served as Head of Strength and Conditioning, and Egypt's ZED FC.
