‘Always so proud to represent Bangladesh’: Hamza looks forward to India tie

Leicester City's Bangladeshi midfielder Hamza Choudhury remains positive despite the team's disappointing results in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers against Hong Kong.
"Didn't work out as we'd hoped and worked so hard for! But as always so proud to represent Bangladesh and the team! So many positives to take from this break. See you all in November InshaAllah," Hamza wrote in a social media post after returning to England from Hong Kong.
The 26-year-old played both matches during the October FIFA window, where Bangladesh lost 4–3 in the first game in Dhaka before drawing 1–1 in the away game against Hong Kong on October 14.
Since making his debut in March against India in Shillong, Hamza has quickly become a key figure in Javier Cabrera's side, featuring in five matches, scoring twice, and assisting once.
Bangladesh, however, have already been eliminated from Asian Cup qualification after managing just two points from four matches. Despite the early exit, two games remain for Cabrera's men, who will next face India on November 18.
Hamza confirmed he will return to Dhaka for that fixture, adding that he found "many positives" from the recent international break and is looking forward to rejoining the national team in November.
