‘Isco’s head too big for his body’
ESPN Uk reveals that Manchester United were keen on Isco’s potential back in 2013 but deemed him to be ‘not good enough’.
Real Madrid's Isco Alarcon was the man of the match against Manchester United for his superb performance in the UEFA Super Cup. The midfielder tore apart Manchester United with his dazzling skills.
It was towards the end of Sir Alex’s Ferguson’s reign during 2013, when United sent a senior scout to assess Isco, who was playing at Malaga.
"He's good, but not quite quick enough and his head is too big for his body," was the verdict on the then 21-year-old playmaker.
Isco has kept improving all the while -from his Malaga days, playing in the Champions League quarterfinals – to winning the Champions League for Real Madrid and staking a claim to be a starter in a star-studded Real Madrid midfield.
Manchester United must be ruing that decision from four years ago after Isco’s latest performance against them.
