Shakib reprimanded for misconduct
Top allrounder Shakib Al Hasan has been reprimanded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for misconduct during Asia Cup match against Pakistan.
The Bangladeshi left hander, disappointed after being bowled out in a crucial stage of the run chase, hit the stumps with his bat yesterday. He immediately apologised.
Today morning, Shakib admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed, said a press release from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
He was found guilty of breaching Level 1 of the ICC code of conduct and received an official reprimand for his behavior, the ICC press release said. There was no need for a formal hearing.
