Bangladesh and Mohammedan Sporting Club ace paceman Taskin Ahmed attained the unwanted record of becoming the most expensive Bangladeshi bowler in a List-A match after leaking 107 runs against Gazi Group Cricketers at BKSP Ground 4 today.

Previously, the record was jointly held by pacers Shahadat Hossain and Iqbal Hossain Emon. Shahadat had conceded 1-104 in 10 overs for Bangladesh A against South Africa A in Benoni in 2011 while Emon had leaked 2-104 in nine overs in last year's DPL while playing for GT Academy against Abahani in Fatullah.

In BKSP today, Taskin conceded five sixes and 15 fours in a shocking bowling display.

In the Powerplay, he was taken apart by openers Anamul Haque Bijoy, who hit an unbeaten 149 off 143 balls, and Sadikur Rahman (60 off 75 balls) and in the death overs Tofayel Ahmed got after him, hitting Taskin for a couple of fours and sixes each during a whirlwind 29-ball 63.

Although Taskin claimed three wickets on the day, it hardly takes away from the battering he took from the Prime Bank batters today.

Gazi Group finished on 336-5 and table-toppers Mohammedan will soon begin their challenging chase.
