Taijul first Bangladeshi to be picked in SA20

Taijul Islam became the first Bangladeshi to be picked by any team in the SA20 when the left-arm spinner was roped in by the Durban Super Giants for the upcoming edition of the T20 tournament.

Taijul went for R500k to the Super Giants during the auction of the fourth edition of the tournament in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

"Spinning his way into Durban's heart," announced the team's official Facebook page, welcoming Taijul.

The fourth edition of the SA20, organised by Cricket South Africa, will feature six teams and run from January 23 to February 24 next year.
