Second Bangladesh-Afghanistan T20I reduced to 17 overs

The second and final T20I between Bangladesh and Afghanistan was reduced to 17 overs following a rain interruption in the eighth over of the first innings at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. 

The visitors managed 39 runs for the loss of two wickets before the interruption.

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed struck twice in the Powerplay to leave Afghanistan two down for 34 after the end of the first six.

Taskin Ahmed opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the very first over of the innings. Gurbaz, who edged one over third man for a maximum in the fourth delivery of the over, tried to pull a short one towards the legside but the ball got big on him and he could only top edge it to the bowler himself as he departed for five-ball eight.

The dismissal gave Taskin his 50th T20I scalp making him only the third Bangladesh bowler to achieve the feat after Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman.

The 28-year-old came back in the third over and nicked off the other opener Hazratullah Zazai for a five-ball four.
