NCL T20 postponed over inclement weather

The National Cricket League T20 tournament has been postponed indefinitely due to bad weather conditions, BCB tournament committee chairman Akram Khan confirmed to The Daily Star on Tuesday.
Matches in Bogura and Rajshahi were hampered since the tournament began on September 14. Bogura was unable to see a ball being bowled while in Rajshahi, only a five-over game was possible on the opening day.
Groundstaff had informed that the situation in Bogura was particularly bad and matches were shifted from Bogura to Rajshahi to get respite from weather conditions.
However, rain rendered any cricket impossible in Rajshahi too, forcing the tournament committee to postpone matches on September 16 till at least September 25.
"Yes, the tournament has been postponed since we have learned that weather will not be good till the 25th. We will hold a meeting now and decide on a restart date," Akram told The Daily Star.
