Bangladesh T20I skipper Litton Das is expected to return to competitive cricket through the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies, scheduled to begin on October 27 in Chattogram.

The 31-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has been sidelined for more than a month after sustaining a left-side strain during the Asia Cup last month. He missed Bangladesh's final two Asia Cup games, the subsequent T20I and ODI series against Afghanistan in the UAE, and the ongoing home ODI series against the West Indies.

"He has already started batting and hasn't made any complaints yet. Alongside batting, his running and everything else also look fine; there are no issues," said Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) chief physician, Debashis Chowdhury, expressing optimism about Litton's availability for the upcoming series.

Debashis also expressed satisfaction over the progress of opener Parvez Hossain Emon, who has been recovering from a shoulder injury in recent weeks.

"At the moment, Emon has not complained of any pain. We are approaching the rehab in a conservative way first," he added.

While Emon's participation will depend on the selectors' assessment, BCB sources confirmed that the squad for the West Indies T20Is has already been submitted and is likely to be announced in the next couple of days.

All three matches will be played at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram, with the final two games scheduled for October 29 and 31.
