Liton expects same support from fans in India

Bangladesh batter Liton Das said that he expects to get the same support from fans across the border as he gets at home as the right-handed batter left for India to play for Indian Premier League side Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. 

The 28-year-old opener is one of three Bangladesh players to have been selected for the ongoing IPL but will not feature in the match against the Gujarat Titans in the afternoon on the same day.

"The way they support me here, I believe they will give me the same support there as well," he told the reporters before catching his flight at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

"Leaving for Kolkata. Keep me in your prayer!" he wrote on Facebook.
