Kohli and Rohit set for emotional Australia farewell?

Australian fans could be witnessing the end of an era as India's batting icons Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma return to action in the three-match ODI series starting in Perth on Sunday.
Between them, the 36-year-old Kohli and 38-year-old Rohit boast nearly 600 ODIs, but their future beyond this series remains unclear. The pair, now active only in the 50-over format, will play under new captain Shubman Gill — a player they both mentored early in his international career.
Head coach Gautam Gambhir remained guarded about their plans, but the mood around the tour carries a hint of finality. "They'll be hungry," said former India coach Ravi Shastri. "There are young players pushing hard, and both will want to make a statement."
For fans, the nostalgia will be palpable — two legends possibly making their final bow in Australian conditions, cheered on by crowds packed with Indian supporters in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney.
Australian batter Travis Head, meanwhile, paid glowing tribute. "Two quality players, two of the greats — Virat probably is the greatest white-ball player, and Rohit's not far behind," he said.
If this is indeed their curtain call Down Under, it will be a farewell worthy of two of India's finest ever.
