Dhanmondi Cricket Academy marks 25 years with Silver Jubilee celebration
Dhanmondi Cricket Academy (DCA) celebrated its 25th anniversary with a grand Silver Jubilee gala at the academy premises on Tuesday evening. The event brought together executive committee members, alumni, students, staff, and well-wishers to commemorate a quarter-century of dedication to cricket development.
Co-organized by Momentum Arena, the celebration was filled with nostalgia and camaraderie. Highlights included video tributes from current and former students, staff, and parents reflecting on the academy's journey, its lasting impact, and the spirit of community that has grown surrounding it.
In a heartfelt moment, DCA honored 10 late members by presenting commemorative crests to their families, recognizing their lasting contributions to the academy's legacy. The honorees included founding president Muhammad Zakaria, founding vice president Dr. Mohammad Abdullah, Faruqul Islam Faruq, Aliul Islam, Nadir Shah, Jalal Ahmed Chowdhury, Badruddoza Babla, Abu Sayed Khan, Sayeda Naila, Samiur Rahman Sami, and Sanjoy Pal Bappi.
Founded 25 years ago, Dhanmondi Cricket Academy has played a key role in nurturing cricketing talents based in Dhanmondi.
"Our proudest moment has been seeing our former student Saif Hasan succeed for the national team," said DCA President Abu Mohammad Sabur. "We remain committed to producing more players who will serve the nation's cricket."
