Aminul Islam Bulbul has vowed to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to take Bangladesh cricket to greater heights after being re-elected as president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday.

Speaking to reporters following his re-election, the former national captain outlined his vision for the next four years, emphasising collaboration, planning, and continuity.

"We have already started planning where we want to see Bangladesh cricket in these four years," Bulbul said. "With that goal, we will continue what started with today's board meeting tomorrow. And the four-year plan we are making -- we might be able to give you an open account of it tomorrow."

Bulbul acknowledged the challenges ahead but remained confident in the collective strength of the new board.

"It will be a challenge. However, everyone who has come here has brought their own qualities and competencies. And we will all progress by learning," he said.

Bulbul, Bangladesh's first Test centurion, had taken charge for only five months back in May this year. He had said that he was here for a short T20 innings. But now his vision has changed. He is here for the next four years.

Reflecting on his journey, Bulbul spoke with emotion about his growing attachment to Bangladesh cricket and his determination to contribute further.

"This is part of a journey I've embraced. I've fallen in love with the development of Bangladesh cricket. I came for a short term, and that was my plan. But when I started doing small tasks through a fruitful program and saw success, I didn't think of anything else. I have stayed with the goal of serving more for my country."
