BCB, PCB to announce white-ball series dates soon

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday said that they will announce the final fixtures of the proposed white-ball series against Bangladesh very soon.
"We are discussing for the last several weeks about some series. Both boards will be announcing it very soon," Mohsin told travelling Bangladeshi journalists during the Champions Trophy semifinal between South Africa and New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Earlier, there were reports that both Bangladesh and Pakistan boards were chalking plans to hold a bilateral series, comprising three ODIs and as many T20Is in July-August in Bangladesh.
According to the Future Tours Programme of ICC, Bangladesh are scheduled to travel to Pakistan for three ODIs and as many T20Is in May and the new proposed series, which will be held after Bangladesh's tour of Sri Lanka, isn't part of the FTP. India are also scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh after the Pakistan series.
Bangladesh Cricket Board president Faruque Ahmed on Tuesday came to Lahore to attend the second semifinal on an invitation from Naqvi.
The PCB chief thanked Faruque for accepting his invitation and he felt that the proposed series would be a win-win situation for not only these two boards but also for cricket.
"First of all, I would like to welcome Faruque bhai to Pakistan. Seriously, we are so pleased to receive him here and especially from Bangladesh for today's match.
"It's a win-win for whole of cricket and I would really like to thank him for all this," he added.
Meanwhile, talking exclusively to The Daily Star, Faruque said that he told his Pakistani counterpart to fix the series by today.
"The dates are July-August. We will come here [in May] and then we have a series in Sri Lanka. We have sent them a draft date and I have PCB chairman (Mohsin Naqvi] with me. I told him to finalise the dates by today so that we can fix the series," said Faruque.
