BCB aims to strengthen decentralisation with cricket conference
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will host the Bangladesh Cricket Conference on November 9 and 10 at a city hotel, aiming to take cricket beyond Dhaka under BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul's 'Connect and Grow' program.
In-charge of cricket operations, Shahriar Nafees, said that the BCB wants to strengthen its base at the district level.
"The goal is to understand what the cricket stakeholders from different districts want, what challenges they face, and to hear their suggestions," Nafees said in a video message from the BCB. "Councillors from all districts, along with women entrepreneurs, will attend the event and exchange views with the BCB. Together, we'll generate ideas to help decentralize cricket effectively."
A councillor, district cricket officer from the DC office, district coach, and a female entrepreneur will attend from each district. During the conference, the board will share its vision for cricket decentralisation.
BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul said the event will help guide future investments in facilities, wickets, and ensure female participation.
