Barishal physio Hasan passes away during NCL match in Khulna

Barishal Division physiotherapist Hasan Ahmed passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest during the third day's play in the 27th National Cricket League (NCL) fixture between Khulna Division and Barishal Division at the Khulna Divisional Stadium on Monday.

Hasan, 47, worked as the physio for Barishal Divisional team in the NCL for over a decade and was also serving as programme manager at the Bangladesh Rehabilitation Centre for Trauma Victims

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed condolences and deep sadness at his passing. 

"As a mark of respect for the departed, the Bangladesh Team will wear black arm bands during today's 1st T20 International against the West Indies in Chattogram. A minute's silence will also be observed. Teams playing on day 4 of thr ongoing NCL matches tomorrow will also show respect for Hasan Ahmed," BCB said in a media release.
