Bangladesh women's cricket team's scheduled white-ball tour of India in December has been postponed indefinitely, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Abdur Razzak confirmed to The Daily Star today.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed the BCB of the decision via email. The Tigresses were due to play three ODIs and three T20Is.

"Yes, the tour has been postponed and it will be rescheduled," Razzak said. When asked if any new dates had been proposed, he added: "The two teams' schedules will be considered for rescheduling the series, but the series is not happening any time soon."

The development follows the postponement of India men's white-ball tour of Bangladesh, initially slated for August 2025, which has now been moved to September 2026.

"The BCB looks forward to welcoming India in September 2026 for this eagerly anticipated series," the board said in a statement after that decision.

The December tour was expected to mark the start of the new women's Future Tours Programme cycle for Bangladesh, while the ODI series would have launched the ICC Women's ODI Championship campaign for the Tigresses.
