Joe Root was quarantined by the team management at the end of the second day of the Dhaka Test after the England batsman complained of a stomach upset which forced him off the field during Bangladesh's second innings on Saturday.
According to reports, Root returned to the team hotel separate from the rest of the squad as the England medics did not want to risk a bug sweeping through the team during the match.
England will need Root back on the field quickly on Sunday because the longer he is off recuperating, the further down the order he will have to bat.
Rated as the No. 3 Test batsman in the world, Root top-scored (56) in England's first innings and is the only member of their top four to reach 20 this series.
