Mashrafe's birthday wish

It is widely known that Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza does not usually celebrate his birthday since he likes to keep a low profile on the special day. However, thanks to social media, Mashrafe's birthday on October 5 transformed into a special occasion for all the cricket lovers in Bangladesh to shower their affection on the inspirational skipper.

Mashrafe finally acknowledged all the warm wishes on his 35th birthday as he took to Facebook live to convey his gratitude and also provide some sound advice to his countrymen.

"I'd like to thank everyone for all the wishes. This day is very special, not just for me, but for our family as well as it is the day when my son also came into the world. Please pray for us and I hope you'll continue to support our national team. It's because of your support that Bangladesh cricket has come to this stage. I request you all to pray for my son so that he can become a good human being," Mashrafe said. "Lastly, I would like to request everyone to love our beautiful country which could go even further if we [the people] try. I hope you will all try your best from your own positions as we will also try to do the same."
