Spelling Bee into Quarterfinals

The Quarterfinals of education reality show "The Daily Star Spelling Bee -- powered by Horlicks' commences tonight. Popular anchor Rumana Malik Munmun is compering the show, to be aired on Channel i at 7:50pm.
This year marks the third season of Spelling Bee, which started TV round with 96 spellers selected from a nationwide selection round. From them, 32 spellers, 2 each from 16 preliminary episodes, have earned their berth in the next round.
Spelling Bee pronouncer Zunaed Rabbani said, "Words in Quarterfinals will naturally go a notch up in terms of difficulty. However, we are hopeful that viewers will find that quality of spellers have also gone up over the years, as the kids are more familiar with the format now and more prepared."
A good number of quarterfinalist students are from season 1 and 2, along with some fresh faces.
In quarterfinal episodes, 4 spellers will contend in spelling games: Spell It, Spell Hive, Spell Buzz and a new segment Spell Ring.
During preliminary round competition, spellers won books for 16 different schools, courtesy of associate sponsors BSRM. The champion speller of Season 3 of Spelling Bee will win an education scholarship of BDT 5 lacs from MetLife Alico and a trip to Washington DC with a parent, covered by organisers Champs21.
