Govt raises allocation for ICT Division by 23%

The allocation for the ICT Division may increase by Tk 452 crore to Tk 2,368 crore in the proposed budget for 2023-24 fiscal year.

The 23.59 per cent rise in allocation in the ministry comes as the government has set out a plan to make Bangladesh a smart nation by 2041.

In the outgoing financial year, the revised budget later stood at Tk 1,842 crore last year.
