Rescue efforts resume on 3rd day after deadly Gulistan blast
Fire fighting units have started their rescue operation for the third day this morning at the building in Dhaka's Gulistan area, where at least 20 people lost their lives in a deadly explosion Tuesday.
The rescue work started around 8:45am, Anwarul Haque, vice principal of the Fire Service Training Complex, told The Daily Star.
"We started working at 8:00am. As there was a lot of water under the building at that time, the water was irrigated and the rescue work started around 8:45am," he added.
