Transformers Movies Are Planned Until 2025
Paramount will reportedly plan several spinoffs and possible prequel films, expanding the world of the Transformers, already established by director Michael Bay, into a vast filmic universe.
Stephen Davis, executive vice president of Hasbro, revealed "You're going to see a new Transformers movie coming from Hasbro, Paramount, Michael Bay, and our other partners. In fact, we just finished, which some of you may have read, just an incredible experience.
We decided that we want to plot out the next 10 years of the Transformers franchise." Of course planning this far in advance is predicated on the idea that future instalments of the Transformers series will be as successful as the ones that have come before. There is a possibility of failure, but it's worth noting that the size and scope of the plan probably has something to do with the $3.7 billion dollars the franchise has already amassed at the box office. Transformers 5 is tentatively expected to reach theatres in 2017.
