BGB, BGP conduct joint patrol at border
Bangladesh and Myanmar's border troopers have conducted a joint patrol at Cox's Bazar border.
Our local correspondent reports, today the joint patrol of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Guard Police (BGP) was conducted for an hour on the border of Teknaf upazila on Naf River.
BGB Battalion-2 Director Asaduzzaman Chowdhury told The Daily Star, Subedar Maj Md Ibrahim Hossain led the BGB, while DyHtain Lin Maung led BGP, in the hour-long patrol that began at 10:00am.
Both sides participated in the joint patrol with two petrol-driven boats each.
This was the second joint border patrol of the Bangladesh and Myanmar patrol guards after the first patrol, held on March 5, was conducted peacefully and cordially.
